BIOGRAPHY
Mike Elhaiek (b. 1994), better known as MOMO Soundz, is a professional music producer focused on Electronic Dance Music. His musical framework is located, he says, at that place “in which pop music meets EDM”, and his output blends melodic elements from House music in a Dance Pop musical structure. A multi-instrumentalist, MOMO Soundz has been Mike’s full-time project since 2015, a career he undertook after obtaining his bachelor's degree in Economics (honors diploma). Time flies: by 2023, MOMO Soundz already accounted for more than 65 million streams on all platforms combined.
Years before devoting his time to the MOMO Soundz moniker, Mike already worked for the industry in the production of slams and jingles, mostly requested by TV production companies and advertising agencies. Mike’s slams and jingles were built up from scratch and were based on an array of genres sometimes completely off the EDM realm, such as smooth jazz, folk rock, alt-country or synth-funk.
MOMO Soundz, who’s signed all his music to international labels, had a first hit with his single “Can’t Fear the Night”, released in 2016 independently and re-released on 2018 with VipMusik Records. This cut, was a knockout sensation in Europe and ended up in that year’s “Germany Viral 50” and "Australia Viral 50" Spotify lists. To this day, it has surpassed 8 million streams. After his first smash, MOMO Soundz upped the ante with a string of successful releases, including his guitar driven tune “Save Me”, a tropical houseundertaking which has crossed the 5 million-streams landmark and was essential for expanding MOMO’s fanbase to Mexico. MOMO Soundz recently delivered “Won’t Look Back”, a collab track produced alongside California-based artists BEAUZ and it has surpassed 6 million total streams already. “Won’t Look Back” has been released under No Copyright Sounds (NCS). Despite his fanbase being mostly in Europe, Mike has taken measures to ensure his success within his homeland: sought after and leveraged by his songs gaining streams in the international scenario, he signed a 10-song contract with Pirca Records, a subsidiary label to Sony Music Argentina. With this agreement, Pirca and MOMO have ensured a steady presence of EDM in pop-oriented radio: “Other Side”, MOMO’s first release on Pirca, has put MOMO on hit stations across national FM, both in Argentina and Uruguay. The single, an open letter to late Swedish producer Avicci, is just the first release of the 10 original tracks that MOMO and Pirca will promote on the airwaves.
